Getting There

The Madison Valley is conveniently located right in the middle of several destination points of the Northern Rocky Mountain West.  The area can easily be reached from Bozeman, Jackson Hole, Missoula, Idaho Falls, and Yellowstone National Park.  We have provided driving directions from many common destinations.  If you need additional directions please feel free to contact us!

Bozeman - Ennis lies 50 miles southwest of Bozeman.  To get to Ennis head out of Bozeman going west on Main Street.  Drive six miles to four corners and continue straight through.  Follow MT Highway 84 passing by the Madison River for 32 miles to Norris.  Take a left at Norris and continue over the hill 16 more miles on MT Highway 287 to the scenic Madison Valley and Ennis.  The trip takes about an hour.

West Yellowstone - From West Yellowstone the trip to Ennis is 71 miles and takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes.  Follow US-20 west for 13 miles.  Turn right onto ID-87 and cross back over the border into Montana.  Continue on for 18 miles.  Turn left at US-287 and drive 40 miles through the Madison Valley into Ennis.  Be sure to watch for elk along the highway during the winter months!

Big Sky - The trip from Big Sky to Ennis is 82 miles.  Begin by following US 191 south 34 miles to four corners.  Take a left at the light and follow MT Highway 84 passing by the Madison River for 32 miles to Norris.  Take a left at Norris and continue over the hill 16 more miles on MT Highway 287 to the scenic Madison Valley and Ennis.  Travel time is approximately 1 hour 30 minutes.

Idaho Falls - Idaho Falls is a 157 mile drive to Ennis.  Begin the journey by heading north east on ID 20 for 94 miles.  Take a left when you intersect Highway 287.  Follow the highway for 40 miles through the Madison Valley into Ennis.  Driving time is approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes.

Missoula -From Missoula the trip to Ennis is 197 miles.  Take I-90 eastbound for 149 miles through Butte and Whitehall.  Take exit 256 toward Boulder and Cardwell.  Turn right onto MT Hwy 359 and shortly after turn left on MT-2.  Follow MT-2 for 13 miles.  Take a slight right onto MT 287.  Continue on MT 287 for 35 through Harrison and Norris to Ennis

Jackson Hole - Begin by heading northwest on WY-22 towards Rexburg, ID for 17 miles.  WY-22 will become ID-33.  Continue on for 55 miles.  Merge onto US-20 toward West Yellowstone and follow for 62 miles.  Turn left onto ID-87 and cross over the border into Montana.  Continue on for 18 miles.  Turn left at US-287 and drive 40 miles through the Madison Valley into Ennis.  Be sure to watch for elk along the highway during the winter months!  Travel time is just over 4 hours.
